At Canvas, we seek to facilitate hemp product education for first-time customers, as well as enhance existing patrons’ knowledge of the endocannabinoid system. Through alternative healing empowerment, we strive to share the gentle wonders of herbal remedies.

Research shows that our nervous system contains cannabinoid receptors involved in many physiologic processes related to mood, memory, and pain. CB1 and CB2 receptors are found in in the brain, nerve cells throughout the body, lungs, liver, kidneys, and immune system. These receptors bind with endocannabinoids (produced in the body) or with phytocannabinoids (found in cannabis plants).

Both marijuana and hemp come from the plant species Cannabis sativa. Our CBD oil is derived from industrial hemp and is legal in all 50 states, because it contains less than 0.3% THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol is the principal psychoactive component of cannabis). Any cannabis plant containing more that 0.3% THC is considered marijuana.

In 2015, the NIDA (National Institute on Drug Abuse) published an article that indicates use of cbd oil for:
